Renfieldest exactement le film que vous pensez qu'il est en regardant les bandes-annonces. C'est de la pure folie du début à la fin. Rempli de sang et de sang, il surprendra certains téléspectateurs lorsqu'il délivrera des messages importants sur ce à quoi ressemble la codépendance. Ne vous méprenez pas ici, ce film n'essaie pas d'être prêcheur ou de vous frotter le visage en jetant un coup d'œil à la vie et aux relations, mais en raison de l'analyse de la relation de Dracula et Renfield, cela pourrait bien être un sous-produit du film pour quelques observateurs.

Vous pensez probablement que le nom de Renfield vous semble familier. Et cela devrait être le cas si vous êtes un fan des films de Dracula, ou si vous venez juste d'entendre la tradition. Ce qui fonctionne si bien dans ce film, c'est qu'il ouvre simplement les vannes et se déchaîne – dès le début. Juste au moment où vous pensez que les choses ne peuvent pas devenir plus folles, elles le font. Ce film repousse certainement les limites en ce qui concerne les moments ridicules. Le sang et le gore ne semblent pas particulièrement réels, mais c'est à cent pour cent l'ambiance que ce film recherche. Il est clair que le but était toujours que cela ait l'air faux – mais cela ne signifie pas qu'il ne suscitera toujours pas de réaction de la part du public.

Le Dracula de Nicolas Cage ne ressemble à aucun autre que nous ayons jamais vu auparavant. Je ne veux pas entrer dans trop de détails, mais sachez simplement que vous serez assez surpris de voir dans quel état il se trouve pour la majorité du film. Cela dit, il est assez incroyable quand il se présente. Cette histoire concerne Renfield, et WOW, Nicholas Hoult est vraiment à la hauteur. Cela n'est pas du tout une surprise étant donné qu'il est l'un des meilleurs acteurs travaillant aujourd'hui. The Great, Warm Bodies, Mad Max Fury Road… Faut-il continuer ?

Hoult apporte quelque chose d'unique à ce film. Il est absolument brutal quand il le faut et livre certains des moments les plus grotesques et hilarants. Cela dit, il est aussi le cœur du film. Même s'il est parfois une personne horrible, vous ne pouvez pas vous empêcher de vous sentir mal pour lui. Vous aurez juste envie de tendre la main et de lui faire un câlin. Sa relation avec Awkwafina est amusante à regarder et apporte également des moments humoristiques.

Cela dit, c'est vraiment sa relation (ils ne se sont rencontrés qu'à peine deux fois… cependant) avec Ben Schwartz qui vole la vedette. Schwartz est un grand improvisateur. Il est l'un des hommes les plus drôles d'Hollywood et est toujours le point lumineux d'une série ou d'un film. Alors le voir d'une manière qu'on ne l'a jamais vraiment vu auparavant est étrange, mais aussi une bouffée d'air frais. Teddy Lobo n'est pas exactement ce que vous attendez du fils d'un chef du crime déterminé, c'est pourquoi Schwartz est parfait pour le jouer. Il apporte quelque chose à ce personnage qui vous fait rire dès que vous le voyez à l'écran, alors que vous attendez de voir ce qu'il va gâcher ensuite.

Chris McKay a pris un concept brillant de Robert Kirkman et l'a porté à l'écran d'une manière que je n'aurais jamais imaginé pouvoir faire. Ce film est commeCe que nous faisons dans l'ombremelanger avecM3ganet je suis absolument là pour ça. La violence est au niveau suivant et d'une manière ou d'une autre, chaque scène d'action s'améliore de plus en plus. Ils continuent pendant ce qui devrait être beaucoup trop long, mais vous en voulez plus. L'utilisation du son, des angles et des gros plans se combinent pour en faire des scènes que vous pouvez regarder encore et encore.

Ai-je mentionné à quel point ce film est hilarant? Cela vous fait rire de choses dont vous ne devriez jamais rire. D'une certaine manière, ce film a fait ressortir l'enfant en moi. Eh bien, l'enfant sadique, de toute façon.

Réflexions générales

Renfieldest une comédie d'horreur sur papier, mais elle finit par être plus profonde que cela. Renfield est aux prises avec ses choix de vie et honnêtement, nous avons tous été là. Il veut être une meilleure personne et sa relation avec Dracula entrave sa capacité à le faire. Pour ceux qui ont été dans une relation toxique ou qui se considèrent comme codépendants, cela va être une révélation étrangement bizarre d'un film.

Honnêtement cependant,Renfieldest un film décalé rempli de pure folie. Il repousse constamment les limites et grâce à la distribution talentueuse, cela fonctionne. C'est idiot. C'est sanglant. Et il sait exactement ce que c'est. Donc, si vous voulez aller passer un bon moment au cinéma, rire aux éclats et regarder autour de vous vos camarades de théâtre en pensant "Je n'arrive pas à croire qu'ils viennent de faire ça !", alorsRenfieldest pour toi.

Mais si vous voulez continuer à vivre une vie ennuyeuse et rater l'un des meilleurs films de l'année, restez chez vous le 14 avril.
